Irish Strawberry
Arbutus unedo
Small to medium tree with white flowers in autumn/winter, followed by edible orange to red fruits which look like strawberries. Best for jams. Please refer to our recipe guide.
Cultural Notes:
Evergreen small to medium tree growing to 6m. Full sun to part shade, prefers light acid, well-drained soil. Frost tolerant, drought tender. Produced from seed and cutting.
