Bambino Jellibene has variegated leaves and profuse clear scarlet bracts and incomplete flowers. It requires a warm sunny position and regular light pruning all over. Remove any strong shoots as they appear. Bambino Bougs are a range of smaller growing bougainvilleas that are ideally suited to container growing, topiary, small hedges and smaller gardens. They need no sprays and are hardy once established.

PLANTING GUIDE:

Gardens: Preparation - prepare as large an area as possible, add manure or compost and slow release fertiliser for best results.

Planting: upend pot and ease plant out gently, place in hole without disturbing roots and backfill to just above level of potting mix. A layer of mulch improves growth. Apply sulphate of potash quarterly to promote flowering.

Pots-n-tubs: Use premium grade potting mix whether potting or potting up. Good drainage is essential. Use slow release fertiliser as per instructions. Apply potash quarterly. More water will be needed in hot weather or if plant has been in pot for some time. Best planting - Spring and Summer.
