A small, graceful semi-weeping tree withsingle or several trunks, clear white or pale grey, barked at base, and small fine foliage with pink new tips. Features high levels of peppermint oil which provides a pleasant aroma on warm days. Clusters of white blossoms open along stems, from spring to summer. Plant in small gardens as light screening for privacy, park lands and street scapes. Will tolerate coastal conditions and frost. Flowers attract nectar feeding birds.
