An evergreen medium to tall tree with light brown bark that peels irregularly, which in turn reveals new white bark. Creamy-white flowers appear over spring and summer. Attractive 'silver-dollar' style foliage gives way to mature, narrow stalked leaves. An ideal frost hardy tree that is both ornamental and functional. A good shade tree. The juvenile foliage can be cut and used as a filler in floral arrangements.
