This gum tree has arge, lance-shaped leaves. Bark is retained on the lower trunk but the upper trunk and branches are smooth and cream to grey in colour. A profusion of deep pink flowers appears in autumn and winter. This species shows variability in form and height. An ideal shelter and shade tree, also good for erosion control. Suited to roadside planting, large gardens and parks. Will tolerate frosts, smog and periods of drought. Fast growing
