This perennial herb has grassy foliage that has a lemon flavour and smell. Stems can be picked from the base of the plant and used fresh or dried. Great for curries, stir-fries and herbal teas. Produces the fragrant stems over the warmer months then goes into dormancy over winter in colder climates. Stems can be harvested and dried before the colder weather to ensure a supply of lemon grass for winter.

Best grown in a pot so that it can be moved into a protected position away from frost in winter.
